Clipping and creator programs in 2026: what they cost, what clipping pays, and how many views a course has to earn back
By Karel Moreau · 34 programs · 6,478 verified Whop reviews
The typical paid creator program on Whop costs about $88 a month, and a clipping course has to produce roughly 52,000 views a month at Whop's published rate before it pays for itself. Across 34 clipping, UGC, sales-coaching and side-hustle programs, the 24 sold on a recurring plan cost a median of $87.50 per 30 days (middle half $50 to $110); the 7 one-time courses cost a median of $497. 38% of listings advertise income or profit figures, 8 charge $500 or more, and 2 of the 34 listings we captured in September had disappeared from Whop by 2 November.
What a program costs, by type
| Type of program | Listings | Median recurring price (per 30 days) | Median one-time price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clipping, UGC and creator courses | 14 | $65 | $697 |
| Sales, agency and client-work coaching | 9 | $99 | $199 |
| Other side-hustle programs | 11 | $68 | $97 |
Prices in US dollars unless the listing is priced in euros or pounds, in which case the listed amount is used as shown; weekly, 28-day, 6-month and yearly plans are converted to a 30-day equivalent. Free products and listings without a published price are excluded from the medians.

How many views a course has to earn back
Clipping pays per view. Whop's own guide cites Whop Clips paying $1.25 per 1,000 views on YouTube at the time of publication, and says a part-time clipper can expect $200 to $500 a month. Dividing a course's price by that rate gives the number of approved views the course must help you earn before it has paid for itself:
| What you pay | Views needed at $1.25 per 1,000 | How often |
|---|---|---|
| A $29-a-month community | 23,000 | every month |
| The median clipping course, $65 a month | 52,000 | every month |
| The median recurring program, $88 a month | 70,000 | every month |
| A $247-a-month mentorship | 198,000 | every month |
| The median one-time course, $497 | 398,000 | once, before any profit |
Campaign rates vary and many set a minimum payout per clip, below which a video earns nothing; the figures above assume every view is on an approved clip. The platforms' own creator funds pay $0.01 to $0.06 per 1,000 views, so they do not change the arithmetic.

Ratings: high everywhere, so they separate little
25 of 32 rated programs (78%) score 4.8 or higher on Whop, and the median rating is 4.91. Whop only lets paying members review, so the scores are real, but with almost every listing near five stars the number tells a buyer little. Review volume is the better signal: 10 of the 34 programs have fewer than 20 reviews, which is too few to judge.
Red flags we counted
- 13 of 34 (38%) advertise income or profit figures in the listing. These are seller claims; none are verified and most members will not match them.
- 8 charge $500 or more, up front or per month.
- 10 had fewer than 20 reviews when we checked.
- 7 operate mainly in a language other than English.
- 2 of the September listings (V Squad, Your First Dollar) had gone from Whop by 2 November: the product page now returns an error.

Buyer checklist before you pay for a clipping or creator course
- Join a free campaign first. Content Rewards campaigns cost nothing to enter; a month of real results tells you more than any sales page.
- Do the view maths. Price divided by the rate per 1,000 views, times 1,000, is the number of approved views the course has to add every month.
- Read the low-star reviews first. With 4.8+ almost everywhere, complaints are the useful signal.
- Discount income screenshots. They show the best weeks of the best members, and 38% of listings lead with them.
- Check the refund terms on the Whop checkout page, not in the community.
- Prefer monthly over one-time. A $497 one-time course is 398,000 views you have to earn before you know whether it fits you; a monthly plan can be cancelled.
- Check the listing still exists. 2 of 34 programs vanished within seven weeks of our first capture.

Method and disclosure
Listings are the clipping, UGC, creator, sales-coaching and side-hustle programs live on Whop that we track, captured from public pages in September 2026; ratings, review counts and availability were re-checked on 2 November 2026. Recurring prices were converted to a 30-day equivalent; program types were assigned from each listing's own description; the pay rate used for the break-even table is the figure Whop published in its own guide to Whop Clips. The wider study of 304 paid communities is on our research page; our guides to how clipping works and what clippers make cover the mechanics. This site is a Whop affiliate and earns a commission when readers join through its links; commission rates did not enter this analysis.
Frequently asked questions
What is clipping?
Clipping is cutting short videos from longer content (a podcast, a stream, a brand's own footage) and posting them on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels or X. On Whop it runs through Content Rewards: a brand funds a budget, sets a rate per 1,000 views, and pays approved clips for the views they get. Joining a campaign is free; the paid products this study covers are courses and communities that teach it.
How much does clipping pay?
Whop's own guide quotes $200 to $500 a month for a few hours a week, and cites Whop Clips paying $1.25 per 1,000 views on YouTube when it was published. Rates are set per campaign and change; many campaigns also set a minimum payout, so a clip below that view count earns nothing. The platforms' own creator funds pay far less, $0.01 to $0.06 per 1,000 views.
How much do clipping and UGC courses cost?
Across the 34 creator programs sold on Whop that we track, the 24 with recurring prices cost a median of $87.50 per 30 days (middle half $50 to $110) and the 7 one-time courses a median of $497. The clipping, UGC and creator subset is cheaper on a monthly basis, with a median of $65.
Are clipping courses worth it?
Only if the course gets you to a view count you would not reach alone. At $1.25 per 1,000 views, a $65-a-month course needs about 52,000 approved views every month before it pays for itself, and a $497 one-time course needs about 398,000 views once. Campaigns themselves are free to join, so start with a free campaign, read the lowest reviews of any course, and treat the income figures 38% of these listings advertise as marketing.
